What to do in March

I always breathe a sigh of relief when we hit March. We’re almost there people – it’s almost spring! Although there are not a lot of dog friendly events this month, March is officially the month to get out and support local rescues. From a Mardi Gras celebration to a rock show, there are a lot of fun ways to support dogs in the community this month.

Here’s my run down of what to do in March:

March 1
Mardi Paws
Zone Car Lounge, W. 58th. Cleveland

This fundraiser for Muttley Crew will feature live music, all you can drink beer and food, a burlesque show and a silent auction. Tickets can be bought in advance for $20, or at the door for $25. Visit www.muttleycrewrescue.com for more information.

March 9
Rescue Rock Off
Willoughby Brewing Company, 4057 Erie Street, Willoughby

This fundraiser for the Lake Humane Society will feature live performances by five local bands. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door. For more information, visit www.lakehumane.org

Bully Go Bragh! a St. Pawtrick’s Day Party
Bier Markt, 1948 West 25th Street, Cleveland

Come out to Bier Markt to start your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations early – and bring your dog! Bier Markt allows dogs indoors in the bar area. The event is free and will feature raffles and a kissing booth.  15% of food & drink sales are donated directly to Buckeye Bulldog Rescue.  To find out more, visit: https://www.facebook.com/events/728872643840392/?ref=22

March 28
Wings for Wags
Buffalo Wild Wings, River St. Square Plaza, Elyria

Stop over to Buffalo Wing Wings in Elyria to support Fido’s Companion, an all volunteer rescue group in Avon. There will be all you can eat wings as well as raffles. Tickets are $25 each. Visit http://fidoscompanion.com/EventsDetail.aspx?id=88 for more information.

March 29 – *DOG FRIENDLY*
Dog Gone Easter Egg Hunt
SouthPark Mall, Southpark Center, Strongsville

This dog friendly easter egg hunt will benefit the Cleveland APL. Set up a fundraising page or make your own donation to participate in a fun walk through Southpark Mall. You can also get pictures of your dog and the Easter bunny. Visit https://clevelandapl.org/donate/fun-ways-to-support-the-apl/ for more information.
